On Ash Wednesday we were delighted to have a visit from the Children’s National Ambulance Service “Bumbleance”. It is the world’s first ambulance service specifically designed and tailored for children.
One of their amazing drivers “Jim” explained the story of how the first Bumbleance came about along with some moving and inspirational stories. More info on this service can be found here 👇🏼 on the Bumbleance website.
This year the sixth class decided to donate €400 from their Biddy & Capall collections to the charity. This would cover an angel trip. An Angel Trip is designed for a terminally ill child who is making his or her final journey on earth before he or she grows their Angel Wings. BUMBLEance ensures that parents can make this final journey together with their loved one in a safe, compassionate, sensitive and caring environment.
