Halloween is the perfect time of year to bring the data strand of maths to life in the classroom. We have taken a detour from the maths books during maths week to focus on some hands-on activities. Surveys within the classes in the senior room were a very positive way to encourage all our pupils to communicate and chat about all this Halloween 👻 🎃📊📚📝. Data was compiled using the copy books and groups took different graphs depending on class and ability.
Real life maths is so practical in this regard.
