Over the last week we have been very busy getting ready for Halloween in the Junior room. The children have enjoyed learning ‘The Halloween ghost’ and ‘The haunted house’ songs. We have also read ‘Room on the Broom’ by Julia Donaldson, which was a big hit! Some of the children have dressed up as witches today bringing in brooms but sadly there was no room on the broom for Ms. Kirby…maybe next time they said!
The children painted some lovely pumpkin and cat masks and got very creative with their paintings! They have got great enjoyment out of the Halloween playdough maths and were very busy creating pumpkin faces, spiders and bats along with full moons and some sweets and even brooms for the witches!!
