World Book Day is usually celebrated by school children dressing up as their favourite character from a book they have read.
Whilst dressing up is a fun part of World Book Day, it isn’t what it is all about. The main aim of the day is to encourage children to explore different genres of books and develop a passion for reading.
This is because there are many benefits which include: increased vocabulary, heightened empathy and improved concentration.
Well done to all the pupils for bringing their amazing characters to life in school this year again. 🌏📚🎉
