Junior and Senior infants had a brilliant day out at the firestation and the garda station in Cahersiveen.
As evidenced in our photos we learned all about the workings of the fire station, safety equipment, special procedures and the fire truck and power hose.
The children were lucky enough to each have a turn blasting the hose and riding around in the fire trucks with the sirens on! The Garda station was equally as exciting. We tried on some uniforms, learned about different Garda equipment and we even had a peep inside a cell.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day out in Cahersiveen. A big thank you to our local Garda and our Fire Fighters Mike and Barry. Special thanks to the Markethouse which allowed us to stop and have some refreshments.
