Our final walk for this half term was up the Walk of the Planets. All pupils were suited and booted for the terrain and this whole school walk was a wonderful opportunity to work together with older pupils supporting the younger classes so positively.

Signs of Spring were evident throughout with the massive ponds of frogspawn bringing learning to life. ๐ธ
This tied in very well with our Biodiversity Green flag work as we explore nature and habitats around us.
What is Walk of the Planets?
A solar system 3.5 kilometres long trail that follows the old Butter Road from Caherdaniel village to midway along Coad mountain.
The Planet Sculptures- Specially commissioned markers at each stop will enable a wonderful exploration of the planets found in our Solar System. Each marker consists of a metal pole with a banded sphere surrounding it. Each planet sits on a pole, within the sphere structure. An information plaque on each one offers some great details along the path.
The consistent walks have made a big impact on the overall fitness of our school community. We are very proud of how the pupils have taken on this challenge ! ๐๐ผ ๐ฅพ
