🏉🏐🏀 Mid Term One : Sporting Activities Recap 🏀🏐🏉

As we approach Mid Term, let’s take a moment to look at some of our activities on the sporting field.

🏉 Tag Rugby: We sprinted, dodged, and scored tries on the rugby field with Tony Cournane. Tag rugby not only boosts our fitness but also our teamwork skills. Working together to strategize and outmaneuver our opponents was a thrilling experience. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

🏐 Gaelic Football: Our Gaelic football sessions were a mix of skills, drills and games. Running tirelessly, kicking points & goals, and mastering hand-passes, we learned the essence of discipline and camaraderie. We also took part in the Cumann na mBunscol 3 Teacher competition in Filemore GAA. This year was very competitive but we did our best ! Thanks again to the parents for driving and supporting on the day.

🏀 Basketball: On the court with John Teahan, we dribbled, passed, and took those slam-dunk shots. The quick-paced nature of basketball taught us about agility, quick thinking, and adaptability. 🏀🔥

The importance of team sports goes beyond winning and losing. These activities nurture physical literacy, a skill as crucial as reading and writing. They help us understand our bodies, develop motor skills, and improve overall physical fitness. 🧘‍♂️🤸‍♀️

But perhaps even more significant is what team sports teach us about life. We’ve learned to support one another, communicate effectively, and persevere through challenges as a team. These lessons are not just for the field; they’re for life.
